Everyone’s relationship with their hair is an intimate and public one, especially for the Black community with the policing and discrimination against our hair. I started my organization Parting The Roots, which speaks to the history, significance and politics around Black hair.

To address the anxieties that some Black folks experience with their hair, I’ve created Black hair affirmation cards to promote self love, empowerment and boosting one's confidence.

It's a 52 card deck of affirmations for parents to use with their kids and everyone seeking that confidence boost and opportunity to build a positive relationship with their hair.
